How has your area of specialty influenced how you support and guide portfolio companies?
I focus on Central and Eastern Europe, a region with strong entrepreneurial talent and diverse market dynamics. As a growth investor, I enjoy working with businesses as they scale across fragmented markets, build more rigorous operating disciplines, and transition from local champions into pan-European or global players.
My work in Central and Eastern Europe and in consumer-facing sectors—business and financial services, consumer goods, and healthcare—shapes how I engage with leadership teams. I bring a pragmatic lens grounded in local realities, and I draw on Advent’s global functional and industry expertise to help teams deliver against their priorities.
How do you partner with management teams?
I believe the best outcomes come from building trust, alignment, and clarity on roles. Management teams run the business day to day; we contribute by helping shape strategy, constructively challenging thinking when needed, and keeping attention on what matters most.
On key decisions—from international expansion to acquisitions and leadership transitions—I act as a thought partner while ensuring management retains ownership of execution. Where situations are more complex, I bring in the right resources and expertise to support delivery against our shared objectives.
What does learning and growing look like at Advent?
Development at Advent is continuous and hands-on. What I value most is the firm’s culture of intellectual honesty and collaboration: people challenge each other constructively, share lessons openly, and are genuinely invested in helping others succeed. Even at senior levels, there’s an expectation to keep evolving—deepening business judgment, strengthening leadership, and improving how we work together.
When did you decide you wanted to be in this business? Why?
I was drawn to private equity because of the opportunity to build and grow businesses over time. It’s a privilege to work alongside successful entrepreneurs, management teams, and industry experts—and to see the tangible impact of the decisions we make.
In Central and Eastern Europe, private equity plays an important role in helping companies professionalize, expand internationally, and reach their full potential. Being part of that journey continues to motivate me.
What would someone be surprised to learn about you?
Spending time with friends and family is important to me, often through activities I’m not particularly good at—such as cooking, tennis, or football. Those moments are still some of the most enjoyable.
Beyond that, I support a number of non-profit organizations that are important to me.
