With offices in 10 countries on four continents, we have one of the most extensive geographic reaches of any private equity firm. This platform gives us not only a broad international perspective, which is important in today’s global marketplace, but also a deep understanding of local markets. We can therefore help companies expand into new territories, tap into global financial markets and apply international best practices alongside local conventions and laws.
Asia
We have been active in Asia for over 30 years, originally through an affiliated investment manager. We now have an established presence on the ground with 14 investment professionals working from offices in Hong Kong, Mumbai and Shanghai.
Europe
Since beginning activities in Europe in 1984, we have completed 160 investments across both Western and Central Europe. Our pan-regional network comprises over 75 investment professionals in Frankfurt, London, Madrid and Paris.
Latin America
North America
Boston was the birthplace of Advent in 1984, and today our North American team comprises over 55 investment professionals working from offices in Boston and New York. Since establishing our private equity strategy in 1989, we have completed over 85 investments across the US and Canada.
