Advent to sell its minority stake in Hermes Germany to Otto Group

Frankfurt, Hamburg 3 November, 2025 – Advent International (“Advent”), a leading global private equity investor, today announces that it has entered into an agreement to sell its minority stake in Hermes Germany, a leading logistics service provider in Germany, to the Otto Group. The transaction marks the conclusion of a strategic partnership established in 2020, when Advent acquired a majority stake in Evri (formerly Hermes UK) and a minority stake in Hermes Germany from Otto Group to jointly support the company’s transformation.

Ranjan Sen, Managing Partner, Advent, said: “Our partnership with Otto Group and the Hermes Germany team has been defined by mutual trust and a shared ambition to support the company’s transformation. Together, we have supported Hermes Germany during an important stage of its development.”

Kay Schiebur, Member of the Executive Board, Services, Otto Group, commented: “Through the very trusting partnership with Advent, Hermes Germany has been successfully further developed over the past five years. We are convinced that we can now implement the next important steps independently and in a targeted manner.”

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close by year end.
