Advent appoints Maxine Brenner as Operating Partner to strengthen Australia and New Zealand presence

Sydney, 23 October 2025 – Advent, a leading global private equity investor, today announced the appointment of Maxine Brenner as an Operating Partner. In this role, Maxine will work with Advent’s investment professionals and portfolio company leadership teams, helping to drive operational excellence and long-term value creation.

Maxine brings over 30 years of diversified experience as a senior executive across a range of sectors. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Brambles, Telstra, and Woolworths Group. She has previously held Non-Executive Director roles with Origin Energy, Qantas Airways, Orica, Growthpoint Properties, and Federal Airports Corporation, and earlier in her career was Managing Director of Investment Banking at Investec Bank, a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills, and a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel.

Through her directorship positions and extensive network, Maxine brings deep insight into the strategic, regulatory, and operational challenges and opportunities facing major enterprises. Her vast experience includes guiding companies through transformation, industry change, digitisation, key capital market events, and major transactions. This positions her to advise Advent’s leadership and portfolio companies on strengthening governance frameworks, accelerating performance, driving technology transformation, and managing growth in complex operating environments.

Maxine holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales
