Xiaomeng Zhang joined Advent in 2024 as a Vice President and Head of Front Office Technology and Innovation, based in New York.
Prior to Avent, Xiaomeng spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs, where she was a Managing Director in the Asset & Wealth Management Division, overseeing quantitative strategist teams across private equity, growth equity, infrastructure, sustainable investing, real estate, and private credit. In that role, she created and led the data-driven investing and value creation initiative in the private alternative investing space, focusing on enabling the business with data and AI/ML, and built end-to-end portfolio management systems and workflows for the business. During her tenure, she also worked in the Special Situations group within the Securities Division, where she was responsible for developing hedging strategies and building risk and capital management systems.
Xiaomeng received a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Management Science and Engineering, an MS in Financial Mathematics, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. She also received a BS from Tsinghua University.
