BOSTON, October 15, 2019 – Advent International’s public equity-focused subsidiary, Sunley House Capital Management, today announced that it has appointed Yusef M. Kassim as Managing Director and Head of Business Development.

Mr. Kassim will lead Sunley House’s global marketing and investor relations activities in collaboration with Advent’s Limited Partner Services team. He will be based in Advent’s New York office.

Most recently, Mr. Kassim was a Managing Director at Blue Harbour Group L.P., an investment manager employing a concentrated active ownership investment strategy. He has over 20 years of investor relations and business development experience, cultivating and managing relationships with leading global institutional investors.

Formed in 2014, Sunley House manages a concentrated global portfolio consisting of non-control public securities and select, late-stage private investments. As a long-term investor, the firm takes a private equity approach to public markets and focuses on the same five sectors as Advent: business and financial services; healthcare; industrial; retail, consumer and leisure; and technology. Sunley House’s investment professionals are integrated with Advent’s private equity sector teams, enabling them to leverage Advent’s extensive resources and expertise to identify investment ideas.

Mr. Kassim received his bachelor of applied science in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
