Mexico City, September 13, 2021 – Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity investors, today announced the appointment of Daniel Martínez-Valle as an Operating Partner.

Martínez-Valle will be a key partner in helping Advent source, enhance and further grow its investments in the industrial sector, with a special focus on innovation and sustainability. He has extensive experience and global knowledge in the chemicals, materials and irrigation industries. In his previous role as CEO of Orbia Advance Corporation, he spearheaded the transformation of the group’s strategy and vision, which helped fuel its successful expansion.

As an Operating Partner, Martínez-Valle will work with Advent’s investment teams and the management teams of its portfolio companies to promote innovation and sustainability in these businesses.

Martínez-Valle began his career in venture capital, investing in early-stage companies. He led global strategy and planning at Cisco Systems and prior to assuming the role of CEO at Orbia, he was CEO of Kaluz. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
