Advent International, a leading global private equity firm, has recruited two new Principals to its Central & Eastern Europe team: Dan Morgan and Albena Vassileva. This brings the number of new hires during 2007 to six, and increases the size of the team dedicated to the region to sixteen people.
Dan Morgan, a graduate of Durham University and a Chartered Accountant, joins Advent from Kaupthing, where he has been Director of the bank’s specialist private equity division since 2005, leading transactions such as the €465 million MBO of Refresco and the £80 million MBO of ADP. Before that, Dan spent nine years as an Investment Director with 3i in London and Stockholm.
Albena Vassileva has joined Advent’s new Prague office. She is a graduate of Erasmus University and Amsterdam Business School and has spent seven years with ABN AMRO Capital, latterly as Vice President and Senior Investment Manager working on TMT investments. She was previously with ING Baring in Sofia and Amsterdam.

Advent International is one of the longest-established private equity investors in C&E Europe. The firm has backed 34 companies across the region since 1994 and now has a team of 16 investment professionals based in London, Warsaw, Prague, Bucharest and Kiev.
