The new office, our fourth in Latin America, focuses on investments in Colombian companies in high-growth industries where we have deep expertise. Target sectors include pharmaceuticals, retail, energy, financial services and services for the mining and oil and gas industries.

The office also serves as a platform for investing in Peru and rapidly developing Central American markets.

Advent has been operating in Latin America since 1996 and during that time we have invested in 42 companies across seven countries. Globally, we have completed over 270 investments.

Drawing on our industry knowledge and operational experience, we support the management teams of our portfolio companies in areas such as corporate governance, strategy, operations and financing. Our goal is to increase sales and earnings by helping companies improve operations, reposition their businesses strategically, make acquisitions and expand both domestically and internationally.
