Experience

Ron Ayles joined Advent International GmbH in 2005 and has 12 years of private equity experience. He advises Advent on investments in the chemicals and materials sector. Ron has advised on 10 investments, five during his time at Advent International GmbH, including Oxea, Maxam, Nukem (RWE Solutions), H.C. Starck and Boart Longyear.

Previously, Ron worked for 3i, where he spent four years in London and Frankfurt focusing on investments in the chemicals and materials sector. Prior to 3i, he spent 10 years at Degussa AG (now Evonik), the German specialty chemicals company, in a variety of roles including M&A director, investor relations manager, corporate controller and assistant to the chief financial officer.

Qualifications

Ron holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago and the WHU Koblenz (Germany), as well as European undergraduate degrees from ESB Reutlingen and the universities of Granada and London. He also trained as an “Industriekaufman.”
