Experience

Juan Díaz-Laviada joined Advent International in 2002 and is managing director of the firm’s Spanish office. He has 24 years of private equity and M&A experience. He was previously a founding partner and managing director of Dresdner Kleinwort Capital (DrKC) Spain, where he worked with Advent through a joint venture from 1996 to 2002. Throughout his career, he has led or co-led 19 investments, including Maxam, Tinsa and Parques Reunidos at Advent and Alcala Farma, Jazztel and Alta Gestion at DrKC.

Prior to DrKC, Juan was a co-founder of Iberfomento, an independent Spanish M&A and private equity firm, and worked as a manager in the audit and consultancy division of Arthur Andersen. He is currently chairman of the Spanish Association of Risk Capital Entities.

Qualifications

Juan has a degree in law and business administration (ICADE), an MBA from Keller School of Management, Chicago and is a chartered accountant.
