Experience
Francesco de Giglio joined Advent International in 2006 and is managing director of the firm’s Italian office. He has 24 years of private equity experience. Throughout his career, he has led or participated in 21 investments across a range of sectors, including food and beverage and industrial manufacturing. At Advent, he was involved in the Venere investment.
Prior to Advent, Francesco was chairman of SG Private Equity Italia S.p.A. and manager of the Milan office of SG Capital Europe Advisors Ltd. From 1988 to 1999, he was senior director of So.Pa.F., one of Italy’s leading merchant banks, and also partner of Invest Equity Partners, one of the company’s buyout funds focusing on the Italian market.
Qualifications
Francesco has a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Bocconi University.
