Monext was created following Advent International’s acquisition of the electronic payment activities of Experian France in 2008.

With a team of over 400 staff and a turnover of €60 million, Monext develops multi-channel, secure and innovative payment solutions, working alongside financial institutions and retailers in France and abroad. 

Under Advent’s ownership Monext built the foundations for strong growth, notably through creating a new identity and strengthening its leading position in the payment sector in France. In a rapidly growing market, the company positioned itself as a recognised brand and a key player through launching innovative products, streamlining technical processes and simplifying the  organisation centred on client requirements. 

In January 2010, Advent sold Monext to Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, a solid and recognised banking group. In the next stage of its development, the company will focus on its ambitions for European growth in this dynamic market.
